About Me

Welcome! I’m Amy Farbright (she/her), a transgender programmer and creative. Here you'll find information about various projects I've worked on, professional or otherwise.

A low-color portrait of myself.

I'm a developer with an eagerness to contribute my skills and knowledge wherever it's needed. When I'm not writing code professionally, I'm adding onto my large body of hobby projects and experiments. You'll notice that a lot of these projects center around the Sonic the Hedgehog games; they have personal meaning to me, and as such I often use them as a medium through which I hone my skills.

I entered the world of programming through a combo of learning C# with Visual Studio and building forms, and learning assembly with ROM hacking. This odd introduction has led to me building a strong intuition for how to map concepts between systems, and as such I have experience with many game engines and frameworks such as Godot, Unity, MonoGame/XNA-likes, LÖVE, and plenty of custom-built ones. I also have similar experience with programming languages: C# and Rust are my strongest suits, but I also have experience with C/C++, Lua, Python, and many other more bespoke setups.

I am currently looking for work, so if any of this is of interest, please get in touch!
