Welcome! I’m Amy Farbright (she/her), a programmer and game developer with a knack for expressing my imagination, regardless of limitation. Here you'll find information about major projects in my body of work.
I'm a programmer and developer with a knack for tinkering and reverse engineering. With over 7 years of experience coding in a wide variety of setups, from low-memory retro consoles to modern polyglot toolchains, I excel at efficient and practical integration of tech at multiple levels of the codebase. You'll notice that a lot of these projects center around the Sonic the Hedgehog games; they have personal meaning to me, and as such I often use them as a medium through which I hone my skills.
I entered the world of programming through a combo of learning C# with Visual Studio and building forms, and learning assembly with ROM hacking. This odd introduction has led to me building a strong intuition for how to map concepts between systems, and as such I have experience with many game engines and frameworks such as Godot, Unity, MonoGame/XNA-likes, LÖVE, and plenty of custom-built ones. I also have similar experience with programming languages: C# and Rust are my strongest suits, but I also have experience with C/C++, Lua, Python, and many other more bespoke setups.
I am currently looking for work, so if you feel my skillset would make me a strong fit for your team or project, please get in touch!
